being a mother
“Emotional, yet the rock. Tired, but keeps going. Worried, but full of hope. Impatient, yet patient. Overwhelmed, but never quits. Amazing, even though doubted. Wonderful, even in the chaos. Life changer, every single day.”
Life has a funny way of passing us by without us noticing. Minute by minute your day goes by until it becomes an hour. Those hours eventually add up to become a day, and the days become a week, and that week soon turns into a month and those months add up to make a year and years add up to become the story of your life. Your life becomes your legacy. Before you know it, you’ve missed documenting certain stages of your children’s lives and it gets hard to remember when they started crawling, talking, or when exactly your baby turned into a toddler.
Being a mom is the hardest job – I get that now. It is a nonstop, selfless task of gently leading and guiding your children in small things that lead into bigger things as they grow. Thank goodness there is a lot of God’s grace when we fail and when we become tired and frustrated. These motherhood sessions are to celebrate moms and the sacrifices you make everyday. You will never have today with your children again, and if you don’t document the stage of life you are in right now, it’s hard to remember what today looked like in five years. My goal in these sessions is to capture simple, candid moments between a mother and her children – truly, one of the most beautiful relationships. Take time this year to document your relationship with your littles!
